To log ship back to the original primary, you will need to configure log shipping from the new primary (which is the old secondary) back to the old primary (which will be the new warm standby). Configure this via your preferred method (either the feature in SQL Server 2005 or your own custom log shipping). If the switch was performed as a graceful role change and you followed the previous instructions, your database should already be in a loading state. Since the secondary was brought online at the point where the primary was, configuring log shipping back to the old primary should be trivial; all you need to do is start the transaction log backups on the new primary (the old secondary) and initiate the copy-and-restore process to the old primary (now the secondary). If the role change was done as part of an emergency role change, you will need to start the process from scratch. Assuming you have the proper capacity on your secondary, I do not recommend switching back to the old primary unless you have to. It will cause an outage. If that secondary is sized properly, you should be able to run your applications with no slowdown or problems to the end users, which is your ultimate end goal.
